The Steel Panto SP-04 is a wire frame style informed by the glasses worn by WWII submarine periscope operators that has stood the test of time as an enduring classic. In the 1960’s this style transitioned from military surplus to a countercultural symbol by way of the hippie movement. Our interpretation features 2mm certified recycled stainless steel for the wire frame, coupled with a Japanese wave motif engravings on the nose bridge, leg attachments, as well as inside the acetate temple tips. The legs are affixed with 3-barrel German steel hinges, coupled with discreet branding on the outer temple tips. This frame can be outfitted with prescription lenses by a licensed optician. Made in a family owned factory in Martignacco, Italy.
